Arobas personnel is presently looking for an investor reporting analyst for our client located downtown Montreal.

 

Purpose of Job: Completion of reconciliation, accounting and reporting activities of a Special Purpose Vehicle (“SPV”) in support of a securitization transaction.  The main focus initially will be the set-up of the processes and templates to support the ongoing activities.  The individual will work closely with other teams (risk, treasury, accounting, IT) which perform other specialized functions in support of the securitization transaction.

Responsibilities

Initial:

  • Contributing to the set-up of daily, weekly and monthly reporting templates;
  • Contributing to the set-up of ongoing accounting entries;
  • Contributing to process development and any other activities required to support the securitization transactions on a go forward basis;
  • Development of Excel template to support the manual reporting on a portfolio of securitized assets

Ongoing:

  • Preparation of daily reconciliations to support the calculation of daily collections on a portfolio of securitized assets;
  • Completion of monthly journal entries;
  • Documentation of procedures, identifying key risks and controls;
  • Daily review of trial balance for unusual activity;
  • Completion of monthly reconciliations for Special Purpose Vehicle (“SPV”);
  • Participation in daily funding process and completion of related reconciliations;
  • Completion of weekly and monthly Portfolio Report on asset pool(s) for SPV stakeholders;
  •  Participation in operational and financial reporting audits of the SPV;
  • Participation in various other processes in support of the securitization transaction.

Specific Requirements:

  • University graduate;
  • Accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent;
  • Excel power user.  Ability to manipulate large quantities of data using Excel tools; 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience  in the financial services industry;
  • Securitization experience preferred;
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
