As Management Accountant, you will be involved in the process of cost and operations management for our plants and peat bogs in Western Canada, but you will be based at our International Corporate Office in Rivière-du-Loup. Your duties will include the following:
- Prepare and analyze various financial and management reports;
- Take part in the preparation of budgets and financial statements;
- Analyse periodical financial results and budget variance;
- Build and make adjustments to business simulation and financial
- forecast models;
- Solve problems encountered with the financial information
- analysis and preparation process;
- Evaluate the Company’s internal control systems and recommend changes, implement corrective measures and ensure follow-up;
- Manage special projects to improve processes.
To fill this position, we are looking for a bilingual candidate with an accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA). Relevant experience in cost management for a manufacturing business is required. Moreover, mastery of Microsoft Excel is necessary, and mastery of Access would be a strong asset. The ideal candidate must be independent, have a good sense of judgment, and be able to make decisions.
