SENIOR ANALYST, BUDGETS AND ANALYSIS (4275)
Reporting to the Director, Budgets and Analysis, the Senior Analyst, Budgets & Analysis, is responsible for obtaining, consolidating, analyzing, summarizing and preparing presentations pertaining to management information, ensuring a follow-up on the corporate financial performance. Moreover, the incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating the Company’s budget process in close collaboration with his superior, in addition to ensuring, on an ongoing basis, the supervision, validation and control of all authorized budget modifications. Lastly, in addition to developing and performing financial analyses, the incumbent is responsible for recommending and coordinating the implementation of means ensuring the simplification and efficiency of the processes under his/her responsibility.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Organize and coordinate the process for obtaining information needed for a quarterly and annual review of the corporate financial performance;
- Prepare the consolidation of the information, the comparative analyses, the information summary, the reports and the presentations, ensuring a quarterly and annual review of the evolution of the corporate financial performance for management, the committees and the Real Estate group;
- Plan, organize and coordinate the corporate budget process and ensure the corporate directives are respected in close collaboration with his/her immediate supervisor, the regions, the treasury department and other stakeholders;
- Prepare the consolidation, comparative analyses and budget information presentations to management, the committees and the board of directors;
- Validate, control and rationalize the budget modifications made during the year, mainly following the acquisition and sale of assets as well as variations in the currency exchange rates;
- Supervise the updating of budget information in the financial systems, ensuring their completeness and accuracy on an ongoing basis;
- Recommend, present and implement, on an ongoing basis, the ways to ensure the reduction of the time required for preparation of the information and the increase in efficiency of all the processes under his/her responsibility;
- Coordinate or participate in multidisciplinary work groups such as the budget management committee;
- Ensure follow-up on acquisitions and the disposal of assets, as well as changes in accounting policies in order to ensure the maintenance of a high level of quality and consistency in the budget and financial management information;
- Develop or conduct value-added financial analyses.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Professional accounting designation: CMA, CGA or CA;
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in the following fields: financial analysis, budget management and the preparation of corporate presentations; 3 years experience in the commercial real estate field would be an asset;
- Fluency in French and English, both oral and written.
- Mastery of MS Office software and knowledge of the software J.D. Edwards and Hyperion;
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to summarize financial information;
- Good communication skills and an ability to develop relationships and to work in collaboration with the various stakeholders and management;
